After reading of Pastor Bob Williamson’s passing from this life into eternal life with the Lord he loved and served, I began remembering when Tim and I first arrived in SD living in Oelrichs with no friends, no congregation, no idea what we were doing and visiting Hot Springs AG where Pastor Bob and Marcy were pastoring. They were so excited because they were “expecting” their beautiful daughter Brianna Williamson and when they brought her home, the whole world revolved around that little bunch of Joy. And over the years we shared some great times with Bob and Marcy and always Brianna. It’s been far too many years now since we shared laughter and memories and now it will be only in eternity that we will have that chance again. Life is strange at most, and good times are there along with the not so good times. But I choose to look back and remember the fun, the laughter and the memories. Bob, you will be greatly missed and always loved and remembered.
I remember so well one year after the Williamsons’ went to Pensacola, FL and sharing with them their experiences but most of all our conversation about the Florida humidity. Well, if you “choose” to visit Florida anytime in August, you are asking for a very humid experience. Pastor Bob’s flat remark to us was, and I quote, “I would NEVER live in Florida”! I thought, uhoh buddy, never say never. And he didn’t, but he experienced God in a whole new way humidity and all. We use to pick up some of our native friends from Oglala and #4 and take them to church with us there in Hot Springs. They weren’t real sure what was going on; but they always enjoyed going and the people always treated them with respect and love.
We could reminisce about so many good times; but Tim and I will just cherish them as we think of Bob today and Pray especially for his beautiful wife Marcy and beautiful and adorable daughter Brianna who was the apple of his eye! Bob, you are missed in this life; but we rejoice over the fact we will see you again and then there will be no parting there and no more sorrows to share, only peace forever more on those happy golden shores oh what a day that will be!
Sincerely, Tim and Elaine
